Prayer is communication with God. We pray constantly at St. Andrews. In fact, if we have not prayed for you by name, we have prayed for you in some way as we have prayed for this world. The prayer ministry is at the heart of St. Andrews because God is at the heart of all we are about. When we pray, we talk with God; invoke his power, strength and guidance; and experience him in our midst. When those things happen, our passion for ministry soars.
Sunday Morning Prayer Team
On Sunday morning, members of the prayer team are available at the end of each worship service to pray with people over individual joy, concerns, or needs. At the close of worship, the congregation is encouraged to seek out these prayer partners. Our prayer partners are committed to listening and praying without judgment and to keeping prayer concerns confidential.
When pressing circumstances arise, the leaders of the prayer ministry call the church together for prayer vigils. These are times of fervent prayer for healing, protection and guidance. Vigils have been held for mission teams, people with major illnesses and family relationships.
