Pumpkin PatchKNOCK-KNOCK! WHO'S THERE? ORANGE. ORANGE, WHO? ORANGE YOU GLAD WE HAVE A PUMPKIN PATCH? St. Andrews' Pumpkin Patch has been a community activity for almost two decades bringing people onto our campus to purchase a fresh grown pumpkin and enjoy the fall colors. Okay-okay! It's not really like "up north" - but it reminds us of all the things we like about fall: beautiful fall leaves, bright orange pumpkins, crisp, cool nights, jack-o-lanterns glowing, change of seasons, and pumpkin pie! Our pumpkins are grown by the Navaho Native Americans in New Mexico and shipped fresh from the field. Volunteers gather to unload the huge truck when it arrives at St. Andrews and fun starts immediately! Our patch helps those who grow the pumpkins and a percentage helps us afford to do some nice things for St. Andrews. One of the best things about the Pumpkin Patch is watching families come back year after year to take their children's pictures in the patch. We also offer Story Time in the Patch to area preschools, and each year we plan a community outreach event in the patch with activities for kids of all ages.
