Prayer Ministry

Prayer is communication with God.  We pray constantly at St. Andrews.  In fact, if we have not prayed for you by name, we have prayed for you in some way as we have prayed for this world.

The prayer ministry is at the heart of St. Andrews because God is at the heart of all we are about.  When we pray, we talk with God; invoke his power, strength and guidance; and experience him in our midst.  When those things happen, our passion for ministry soars.

St. Andrews Prayer Network
If you would like a whole group of people praying for a need in your life or if you want to join in a prayer network and pray for others, click on the link below.  The site allows you to:
  • Submit confidential prayer requests
  • Receive emails with Scriptures to pray
  • Update your prayer request so people can continue to pray for you in specific ways
  • Give testimony to the answer of God to the prayers
  • Join the prayer network.  If you would like to pray for others, requests will be sent to your email.  You do not need to be a part of the St. Andrews community to join.
  • Submit a Prayer Request
Sunday Morning Prayer Team
The Sunday morning prayer team consists of a group of individuals who come together to do the following:
  • Walk through the sanctuary and campus grounds praying for the people who will be on campus that day
  • Meet prior to the first worship service to pray for the leaders and congregation's needs
  • Meet throughout the second service to pray for the leaders and congregation's needs
  • Send prayer cards to people for whom prayers were made.
Prayer Vigils
When pressing circumstances arise, the leaders of the prayer ministry call the church together for prayer vigils.  These are times of fervent prayer for healing, protection and guidance.  Vigils have been held for mission teams, people with major illnesses and family relationships.

National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is a nationwide ministry of prayer whose mission is to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, mobilizing the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: government, military, media, business, education, church and family. The St. Andrews prayer ministry leads the church's participation in the annual National Day of Prayer.
