Children's MinistryStudies show that most people make a faith commitment between the ages of four and fourteen. With so many activities competing for your child's time, we take very seriously our windows of opportunity to help your child learn about God and begin their journey as young disciples. Knowing that we have only a few precious years to set a spiritual foundation for your child, we want to make every moment count!
The discipleship journey for children begins in our professionally staffed nursery, then moves through KidzCo Sunday School, God's Troopers - our midweek program and Vacation Bible School for children age four through fifth grade. An important step on the journey is our six-week Worship and Sacrament Class, where children learn about the meaning of baptism and The Lord's Supper, as well as why we do things the way we do in worship.
Sunday
9:30 am KidzCo Sunday School! Children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade will start in the Sanctuary and worship with their group during the opening music. Then teachers will take the children to Kirk Hall for a lesson based on the Pastor's worship topic along with a craft and/or game.
Pre-K Sunday School. Children who are 3 and 4 years old have their own Sunday School in Room 11. Parents can sign in their children in the nursery.
11:00 am - Sunday: Children and their parents worship together. Wednesday
6:30 pm - God's Troopers: St. Andrews mid-week program for children age five through fifth grade. Children at God's Troopers are engaged in a year-long program of reading through a children's Bible. Their families help them stay current in their weekly reading assignments and the Wednesday evening learning activities are linked to the reading for the week.

Worship and Sacrament Class: Children in 1st Grade and older are invited to attend a six-week course offered on Sunday evenings after Easter in preparation for participation in the Lord's Supper. A parent is required to attend each session.
