Serving on Sundays

If you would like to participate in the life of the church on Sunday mornings there are a variety of areas from which to choose. Click on all that interest you and click "send form" below. 
 
Hospitality
A friendly personality is the key to serving in this area.
 
Greeter.  Your job would be to help welcome visitors and members alike as they arrive to worship, direct physically challenged and elderly persons to the elevators (or assist them up the stairs), escort visitors to the nursery or welcome desk
Usher.  Your job would be to hand out worship bulletins at the doors, collect the offerings during the service, and assist persons in need (like parents with crying babies) during the worship service.
Soul Cafe.  Your job would be to set up the coffee and pastry for persons arriving for the 9:30am service, and/or remove coffee and the remaining pastry from the lobby area after persons from the 11:00am service have departed.
Visitor Hospitality.  Your job would be to help visitors feel exceptionally welcome on Sunday mornings as you "man" the welcome desk. There you will provide visitors with a warm welcome, a goodie bag containing a free coffee card, and answer visitor's questions about the church.

Worship
This is the area for you if you have the desire to take an active part in assisting the people of God to worship.
 
Technical.  Your job would be to work in the tech booth and operate the lights, sound equipment, or cameras during either or both services. You will be trained how to do this.
Contemporary Music.  Your job would be to play an instrument or sing in the contemporary service by joining the worship band (audition required).
Traditional Music.  Your job would be to sing in the chancel choir.  No audition is required. 
Movement or Visual Arts.  Your job would be to use your skills in dance, drama, graphic or fine arts. 

Prayer
To serve in this area all you need is a heart for God and compassion for people.
 
Sunday morning prayer team. Your job would be to pray for the needs that have been brought to the prayer teams' attention by personal request, email, and those that the Holy Spirit places in our hearts and minds.

 
Teaching Children or Youth on Sundays
Loving children is the first pre-requisite to working with our Sunday children and youth programs. 
 
Assistant, Elementary Age Students.  Your job would be to assist the appointed teacher of the day in any way needed.
Teacher, Elementary Age Students.  Your job would be to prepare lessons provided for you and lead the students.
 
Assistant, Middle School Students.  Your job would be to assist the appointed teacher of the day in any way needed. 
Teacher, Middle School Students.  Your job would be to prepare lessons provided for you and lead the students.
 
Assistant, High School Students.  Your job would be to assist the appointed teacher of the day in any way needed.
Teacher, High School Students.  Your job would be to prepare lessons provided for you and lead the students.
