Serving with Children

If you love God and have a heart for children, get involved in children's ministry.  Click on all that interest you and click "send form" below.
 
Sunday School at 9:30 am
Serve in one of two age/grade groups:  PK (3 & 4 year olds),Kindergarten-5th grade.
Teach Sunday School: Your role will be to prepare and present the lesson one time per month using the current curriculum created by the Children's Minister.  Preparation time is approximately one to one and one-half hours.
Assist at Sunday School: Your role will be to assist the teacher at least one time per month
Sunday Morning Manager:  Your job will be to get things ready for Sunday School.  Time commitment:  9:00 am to 11:00 am Sunday morning and approximately one hour during the week.
Sunday Morning Data Manager:  You role will be maintaining Sunday School records.  All can be done in about one and one-half hours per week.
 
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm - God's Troopers
God's Troopers is our mid-week program for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Bible Lesson Teacher.  You will be responsible for preparing and teaching a 15-20 minute Bible lesson to elementary age children from curriculum created by the Children's Minister.
Bible Lesson Assistant. You will be assisting the Bible lesson teacher for about 20 minutes per week.
Craft Leader.  Prepare and teach simple crafts to reinforce a Bible story point; about 30 minutes per week.
Craft Helper. Assist the Craft Leader; roughly 30 minutes per week.
Games Leader.  Select and lead the children in games that focus on a Bible lesson; about 30 minutes per week.
Games Helper. Assist the games leader; roughly 30 minutes per week.
Share my faith story.  Talk to the children for 10 - 15 minutes about what God has done and is doing in your life.
Share my special interest/hobby.  Demonstrate or bring examples of your hobby or special interest to share with the children for about 10-15 minutes.
 
Note: We require two trained and approved adults in every children's and/or youth class or group.  This is part of our safety and risk management policy and is required in order to assure that St. Andrews is a safe and loving place for your children.
